Happy Sunday people. If you are still hanging in there on the creative challenge today’s prompt is BRAVE.
Happy Sunday people. If you are still hanging in there on the creative challenge today’s prompt is BRAVE.
It is Friday. That means the weekend is upon us. So I am inspired to come up with today’s prompt beased on the roughly 60 hours of leisure between now and the start of the work week. Today’s prompt is… RELAX.
Once again I’m lagging behind on the challenge. Sometimes life just gets in the way. If I don’t post these before 10:00 am it seems like I don’t get around to doing it. So today’s challenge prompt is: PROCRASTINATION.
Because time is not on my side. No… it isn’t.

It is Primary Election Day in Maryland. Today we get to vote for our political party’s candidate for Governor along with a slew of local spots. The traffic was light at our polling place, and, frankly we aren’t supposed to have a big turn out. Election years that don’t align with a Presidential election seldom see long lines at the poles. But when I think of all the people in the world who don’t have the power to freely elect a representative government, and the struggles that so many people in this country went through to get the franchise I wouldn’t miss the chance to vote. My beliefs might not align with a candidate’s platform 100%… but, I’m still going to vote. I owe it to those who don’t have the power to cast a ballot. I owe it to the women and minorities of a not so distant US History to step into that booth.
So choosing today’s prompt was easy … VOTE.

Happy Monday everyone. Are you ready for another writing prompt? How about FAVORITE THING(S)?
you get the idea…
Another beautiful day in this neck of the woods. Hope you all are enjoying good weather as well. My sweet, crazy dog is currently sleeping on my feet letting me know she loves me. So I dedicate this word prompt to her. Today’s prompt is DOG.
Emily W. came to the Writing Challenge a little late, that’s because Summer didn’t officially start for her until school let out last week. She’s taking creative license with the challenge and is going the Art Director route. So far she’s done SAND and SLEEP. Here are her results.
She got her American Girls Chrissy and Chloe into bed for some zzzzz.
The other day she used modeling sand to make “sand cookies”.
Way to go Emily! Very creative. Keep them coming!
(Does the bottom photo make any one else want some Pecan Sandies?)
The weather is delightful this morning and we took the opportunity to go outside and play in the garden. Two hours later I’m pooped and covered with dirt and mulch, but happy. So today’s prompt is Garden.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. The writing gods are laughing at me. What a silly mortal I was yesterday! Thinking that I’d be able to use my iPad to post a creative prompt between voice lessons! Thinking I’d have time to write something. HA! My muse just shakes her head, half in amusement, half in pity.
So, in hopes of appeasing the gods, the writing prompt is MUSE.
