SWC — REVEAL from Joan W.

Huzzah we have our first REVEAL, this one is a bit of flash fiction from Joan W. that incorporates all 4 of the previous writing prompts. Congratulations to Joan for being the first to send in a story AND for figuring out a way to put  Sand, Surf, Surprise and Song into such a small space.

JOAN’S STORY

While driving down a quiet country road a song came on the radio that reminded me of the beach.

I was surprised at how just hearing the song made me remember the wind blowing sand over my feet as I walked along the surf.

Another surprise was were the road was taking me. I found myself driving up to a large lake in the woods.

As the song played on, it brought back childhood memories of my family building sandcastles and playing along the surf trying to out run the waves.

As the song was coming to an end I reached the end of the road. And to my surprise there was my family waiting for me. Sand covered their feet. We were ready to make new memories in the surf.
